Sports Hall

Our modern Sports Hall is a versatile indoor sporting venue suitable for training sessions, competitions and recreational activities.

Features include:

  • Dimensions: 32m x 18m

The Sports Hall is regularly hired by local sports clubs, including volleyball, football, netball and martial arts groups.

Performing Arts Centre

The purpose-built Performing Arts Centre is a professional and versatile venue designed to host performances, concerts, conferences and community events throughout the year.

At the heart of the building is a theatre-style auditorium with seating for up to 290 guests, complemented by a fully equipped stage, professional lighting and sound systems, and a dedicated control room. The venue is air-conditioned for comfort and technician support is available to help ensure events run smoothly from start to finish.

In addition to the main performance space, the centre includes two flexible recital and meeting rooms, a refreshment area and excellent on-site parking, with both main and overflow parking available for visitors.

The Performing Arts Centre is equally suited to large-scale productions and smaller community gatherings. It regularly hosts theatre performances, dance showcases, concerts, conferences, workshops, presentations, school proms and celebratory events.

Used by local performing arts organisations, dance schools and community groups throughout the year, the Performing Arts Centre provides an impressive setting for a wide range of events and occasions.

Main Hall

The Main Hall at the CGS Senior Site is a traditional and characterful venue, distinguished by its oak panelling and striking stained-glass feature window. Combining historic charm with practical functionality, the space offers seating for up to 120 guests and benefits from a Baby Grand Piano, PA sound system, flexible staging options and a balcony overlooking the hall.

The venue is well suited to conferences, talks, lectures, community gatherings, dinners, receptions, music performances and school celebrations. Adjacent classrooms provide additional breakout spaces, making the Main Hall an excellent choice for events requiring multiple meeting or activity areas within a unique and welcoming setting.

Residential Accommodation

The CGS Senior Site offers a range of boarding accommodation options, making it an ideal venue for residential courses, educational visits, training programmes, summer schools and group stays.

Walters House accommodates up to 45 guests and provides a combination of dormitory and twin-room accommodation, with wash facilities available within the rooms.

Cooper House, the largest of the boarding houses, can accommodate up to 90 guests. Offering a mix of ensuite rooms and dormitory-style accommodation, it benefits from generous communal areas and convenient access to dining facilities, making it particularly well suited to larger groups.

Jerred House provides accommodation for up to 47 guests in a combination of twin and single rooms. The house also includes kitchen and conference facilities, flexible social spaces and access to a private garden, creating a comfortable environment for both short and extended stays.

These facilities have successfully hosted language schools, music courses, training organisations and educational groups, offering flexible accommodation in a safe and welcoming setting.

Sports Hall

The modern two-storey Sports Hall at the CGS Prep Site is a versatile indoor venue suitable for a wide range of sporting activities and community use. Featuring a spectator viewing gallery, changing rooms, shower facilities, accessible amenities and convenient on-site parking, it provides an excellent environment for both training and competition.

Regularly used for badminton, volleyball, indoor hockey, tennis, cricket training, basketball, netball and five-a-side football, the hall is equally well suited to clubs, schools and coaching programmes. A range of sports equipment is included within the hire fee, helping hirers make the most of the facility from the moment they arrive.

Performance Hall

The impressive Performance Hall at the CGS Prep Site is a spacious and flexible venue, ideal for community events, performances, meetings and celebrations. Accommodating up to 250 guests in a theatre-style layout or 300 standing attendees, the hall is equipped with sound and lighting systems, adaptable furniture arrangements and convenient access to nearby parking.

Regularly used for choir rehearsals, presentations, fitness classes, book groups, community events and private parties, it offers a versatile space that can be tailored to suit a wide range of activities.

Pre-Prep Hall

The bright and modern Pre-Prep Hall provides a welcoming and adaptable setting for smaller events and group activities. With direct access to an enclosed outdoor area and convenient nearby parking, the space is particularly well suited to children’s activities, fitness classes, community groups, meetings, workshops and birthday parties.

Its flexible layout and contemporary design make it an ideal venue for organisations seeking a comfortable and practical space for regular sessions or one-off events.

Residential and Whole-Site Hire

During quieter holiday periods, the CGS Prep Site is available for hire in full or in part, making it an excellent venue for residential programmes, educational courses, activity camps and group events. Set within extensive grounds, the site offers a wide range of facilities that can be tailored to meet the needs of schools, organisations and community groups.

Residential accommodation is available for up to 70 guests, complemented by a dining hall seating up to 170 people, a recreation room, commercial kitchen and a selection of classrooms and teaching spaces. Hirers also benefit from access to the site’s excellent sporting facilities, including the Sports Hall, Performance Hall, squash courts, tennis and netball courts, sports pitches and a heated outdoor swimming pool during the summer months.

The adventure playground and outdoor spaces provide additional opportunities for activities and recreation, creating a versatile setting for both educational and residential programmes. Catering and cleaning services may also be available by prior arrangement, helping to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for visiting groups.
