Performing Arts
Drama is a vibrant and much-loved part of school life. From the earliest Nativity performances through to major productions for older pupils, children are encouraged to develop confidence, creativity and communication skills through performance.
Every pupil receives a weekly drama lesson, learning techniques such as improvisation, devising and effective vocal performance. As they progress through the school, opportunities to perform continue to grow, with productions, showcases and musical performances providing pupils with regular opportunities to take to the stage and express themselves.
For those wishing to pursue their passion further, individual LAMDA lessons are available. These sessions can focus on acting, musical theatre, Shakespeare, speaking verse and prose or presentation skills, helping pupils develop confidence in public speaking, performance and self-expression while working towards recognised qualifications.
Music

From choirs and orchestras to jazz ensembles and string groups, pupils are encouraged to participate, perform and collaborate from an early age. Pupils can also benefit from individual instrumental tuition with specialist teachers across a wide range of instruments, including piano, voice, strings, woodwind, brass, percussion and guitar. Music begins early, with all Year 2 pupils learning violin and recorder as part of their class curriculum, providing a valuable introduction to instrumental learning and music reading.
Art, Craft & Design

Sport

Pupils enjoy a broad sporting programme supported by outstanding facilities, including a sports hall, swimming pools, AstroTurf pitches, tennis and netball courts, cricket grounds, squash courts, rugby and football pitches, fitness suite, and a climbing wall. Through training, fixtures, tournaments and tours, children are encouraged to challenge themselves while enjoying the many benefits of being active.
Our pupils regularly compete against other schools and participate in regional and national competitions, with a strong tradition of sporting success across a variety of disciplines.
