Combined Cadet Force (CCF)
Our dynamic CCF programme develops leadership, confidence, teamwork and resilience through activities including: Fieldcraft and navigation, First aid, Shooting and weapon training, Climbing and caving, Canoeing and raft building, Hill walking and outdoor expeditions
As pupils progress, they take on leadership responsibilities and help train younger cadets. Highlights include the renowned Ten Tors Challenge and annual summer camps.
Duke of Edinburgh’s Award
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award continues to be one of our most popular programmes, allowing pupils to build independence, resilience and practical life skills through volunteering, physical challenges, skills development and expedition experiences.
From local Bronze expeditions to Silver and Gold adventures in the New Forest, Dartmoor and the Brecon Beacons, pupils develop confidence while creating lifelong memories.
Sailing
In partnership with Spinnaker Sailing Club, pupils develop technical sailing skills, independence, teamwork and resilience while enjoying the challenge of being on the water.

Art & Design
Our thriving Art & Design department offers a wide range of activities, including: Painting and Drawing, Printmaking, Ceramics, Sculpture, Digital Photography, Textile and Fashion Design, Three-Dimensional Design. With access to specialist studios and expert teachers, pupils are encouraged to develop their creativity and artistic confidence.
Drama & Theatre
Through Drama Club and Portal Theatre, pupils can explore performance, directing and production while developing confidence, communication and collaboration skills.
